The splitter takes digital HDMI input from gaming consoles like PS4 and PS5, Xbox, streaming devices such as Fire Stick, Roku, and Apple TV, and PC graphics cards. It passes $4\text{K} \times 2\text{K}$ video at $30\text{Hz}$ or $1080\text{p}$ at $60\text{Hz}$ to the display. At the time the audio is extracted and sent through two different paths: Optical SPDIF to 5.1-channel surround sound receivers or via a $3.5\text{mm}$ jack to 2.0-channel active stereo speakers.
