Hair dryer heating element develops heat, via a small fan which blows a blast of air through the heater and sends the hot air via the dryer’s vent.
2. There are also some steps to take to ensure you use your hair dryer safely.
1) Don’t block the air openings of your hair dryer.
If the airflow is obstructed, the air will become too hot as it is forced to build up near the heating element.
If the overheating isn’t resolved it will eventually burn out the motor, leaving your blow dryer inoperable and you with wet, soggy hair.
2) Letting your hair dryer cool on a surface that is resistant to heat once you have finished using it.
If you notice that your dryer is overheating and taking longer to dry, turn it off, and perform a quick clean on it. Once clean, it should be back up and running like new again.
3) Keep the cord and power plug away from heated surfaces.
4) Make sure the cord and plug do not get wet. Do not submerge your hair dryer in water or rinse it.
5) Check the hair dryer on a frequent basis to see if there are any signs of damage. If you do notice any damage, replace the hair dryer.
6) Do not use your hair dryer when you are near a sink filled with water or while in the bath.
7) It makes screeching, squealing or squeaking noses, rattle and shake, this usually means you have an obstructed, loose or broken impeller. Recommend to replace a new hair dryer directly.
8) Vent cleaning should be performed based on how often you dry your hair, with a recommended cleaning schedule of once a week to once every three weeks.
